Rove beetle location?

I have been looking for rove beetles since the first year and I CANNOT find them ANYWHERE. I need one for the second altar , but I have looked all over the map and can't find them. On the TV (in Fall) it says you can find them on Garden Lane; I have had no success. I know they're night insects, but I can't find one! I've found a widow spider, a tarantula, atlas moths, all kinds of rarer bugs... but no rove beetles. If you've caught one, please tell me where you were so I have a general idea of where to look. I feel as though I have looked in every possible location. Or at least tell me if it's impossible?

exit your farm to the right, first path down the left side of the river (right side of river has millie's house). I caught it there.

Thank you SO MUCH!!! I found one! I didn't catch it, but I did see it, so I know I'll find another one in the same place! I cannot say thank you enough
