Why is everyone moaning about the fishing?
I don't understand why so many players are complaining about the length of time it takes to get a bite on the hook. Have none of you done any fishing in real life? I can remember spending an entire day in a boat with a rod over the side, and catching nothing at all. Even worse on a riverbank, where if you're lucky enough to catch a fish, you have to throw it back in anyway... I think the developers probable intention is to put a little touch of realism into the fishing mechanic.

I would like the Great White and Hammerhead Shark to be a little easier to catch though...

Well people who fish in real life, for enjoyment.. Enjoy it.. Then there is me, who doesn't. I find it cruel, and inhumane. I'm not Vegan or vegetarian or anything. But the time and patience required to catch something, is dead boring to me, much as in game. Then the poor creature is hooked through the mouth, while someone drags it out of its environment, its panicking and flailing flapping about out of air- anyway I don't need to go on, you get where i'm going with why i think its cruel.. At least cows and chickens get killed instantly no torture. I digressed a little - but you did pose the question. I and many many others don't like fishing in real life, for real life reasons.. and probably the boredom of waiting for a fish.. is one of them.

Also I'm not a fan of the fishing minigames, but at this point every damn game of every damn category have them.
To make worst there is a fish on the most left pier on winter that is impossible to get fish because it struggles too much

It's not impossible, it just takes a while.

30 years ago, when I was fishing I got fish no end in sight, just with a basic rod and worms. So your point is mute, you're just explaining one end of spectrum to justify that one single type of experience in this game.

If you want a fun fishing minigame, play FF15. Best fishing game I've ever played. Keeps it fun and engaging, hard fish take a while to catch.
few examples (but just big catches, before you can see sort of what you wanna try to catch)

Well, this is not a fishing game, fishing is just one aspect of it. And I hear the person who fishes in real life. It takes patience...a LOT of patience. But CI is not real life. And your day in game goes by in like a half hour on the slower setting. So you don't really have hours to wait on fish, like in real life where you can spend 8 or 9 hours on the water. All I can think of when the fish are slow to bite is if this is really an effective use of my time as I am still in the stage where money is scarce and I can't spend all day waiting on fish. The fishing mechanic is fine. But less waiting, and less trash would be nice.

Great Whites don't need to be easier to be honest, but the Hammerhead Sharks do need to get MUCH EASIER for what they are worth, which is nothing in comparison to Great Whites.

I agree that Hammerhead Sharks need re-balancing. I think the difficulty needs to be similar to the Great White Sharks.

I think it needs to be lower than the Great White Shark considering how much you get for the Great White Shark and the Hammerhead

It should be somewhere inbetween Great White Shark and Mackerel

I hate fishing mini games. Just base it on fishing skill level and equipment used if you catch it or not. Mini games to catch fish are just annoying and make it unenjoyable.

You press the mouse (LMB) when the fish is calm, then quickly let go of the mouse button when the fish wriggles. Keep doing that and gradually move the indicator all the way to the right to eventually catch the fish.

You can only catch the left pier fish after 16:00 - make sure you set your time in settings to 50% as it takes a LOT of time to catch it. Timing is key for this one... count to 3 or 4 between "thrashes" before reeling in. Takes 3 - 4 in game hours to catch it. Good Luck!

There are two supers on that pier. The hammerhead you are referring to can be caught all day, but between 11:00 and 16:00 another fish comes out that takes precedence. That one is the one the first guy means by impossible. It starts out in thrasher mode and stays that way long enough that it gets far enough away for the line to automatically snap. The hammerhead starts out in calm mode giving you a chance to reel it in a bit first.

Fyi, the 'impossible' super also shows up at Zarah's boat in that same time frame. 11-16:00
