Fullscreen on Ultrawide displays
Is there a way to play on my 2560x1080 display without having either a tiny window or the uper and lower fourth of the game missing?

Unfortunately the game is designed for 16:9 displays and would require a complete redo of the game levels themselves to support this.

I get that and would be happy with a letterbox left and right.

Figured out my monitor has a setting to do the letterbox itself. Would still be nice to not have to tinker with it out of game, though. Cheers!

The Fullscreen setting seems to override the monitors letterbox, ahhh.... Being able to maximize the window would help now.

I have the exact same problem. I wouldn't mind the letterboxing but I really hate the strechted image, especially if it's so beautiful.

I suggest you to change your display resolution to 1080p in Windows settings. You even can use a third party program like Display Changer[12noon.com] to do it every time you launch the game.
Hope it helps.

We will look into more support options for non 16:9 displays. I have a 16:10 monitor as my primary, but none of us have ultrawides to test on. It shouldn't be too hard to update the letter boxing for horizontal spacing.

Same issue here. Right now the image is stretched horizontally. Black bars left and right instead would be fine.
