Yeah, I restarted the game just to see if I could get them all in one go, but also just got 270. Just doesn't make sense that one wouldn't be able to return and collect them all.
Once you leave the initial city and go through the tunnel, a little bit to the left of it there's an active spot that looks like a patch of burnt ground. If Otus looks at it he becomes sad. A similar burnt patch is present in the cave.
Maybe there's an upgrade or a companion that could interact with it to summon a chest or something?
i think this is where we see Otus break the water jar in the beginning toutorial sequence.
It also wouldn't bother me as much if all the coins were just coins you had to GET TO or win through combat, but apparently there are coins hidden behind secret walls, which pretty much guarantees you are going to miss a ton unless you are using a walkthrough. =\
Ah well. It's a wonderful game so far besides, but I don't know if I like this little bit.
You can go back to areas you havent found eveything in as you progess through the game.
B/C there are so many different secrets, here are a few general tips to wrap up the cave:
- pay attention to the bugs flying around the bushes. When you fly through a bush, watch where they go. Frequently, they'll move into a secret room behind a wall
- use the weight "head" to smash the statues around it. Drop it from a few feet up.
Thanks for the info about the bugs, just fininshed the cave. Now on the the Owl Temple.
I followed this thread to find this out. I was freaking out when I missed stuff, I thought this game pulled an Ori on me. (At least that game got a version that allowed backtracking later though...) Good to know this isn't like that or I would've flipped so many tables.
Can you though? I mean at least in the cave, since there is a huge area of it that is closed of after you finished it, the part where you are alone without your sidekick.
