Missing Coins in the First Cave
So I kind of rushed through the first cave and missed a bunch of coins, I did try and go back to it and found some secrets but I can't access the middle part of the cave where I guess the rest of the coins are. So do I have to restart the game or am I missing something very obvious?

Same question is bothering me.

Me too. I'm stuck at 270 coins.

Yeah, I restarted the game just to see if I could get them all in one go, but also just got 270. Just doesn't make sense that one wouldn't be able to return and collect them all.

Just a wild guess.

Once you leave the initial city and go through the tunnel, a little bit to the left of it there's an active spot that looks like a patch of burnt ground. If Otus looks at it he becomes sad. A similar burnt patch is present in the cave.

Maybe there's an upgrade or a companion that could interact with it to summon a chest or something?

i think this is where we see Otus break the water jar in the beginning toutorial sequence.

I too would like clarification on this. I'm probably just going to start over since I haven't even progressed out of the town yet.

I found a secret area with rings in the far right wall where you first put getty on a button.

I started over once already because I missed some coins, but I just cleared the cave again and now can't go back to get a few coins that are apparently behind a secret wall. This wouldn't bother me so much if the game had manual save/loads so it was easy to restart a chapter/level or something, but you basically have no choice but miss a bunch of stuff, play the entire game with a walkthrough open, or just keep replaying the entire game, none of which are ideal for completionists. =\

It also wouldn't bother me as much if all the coins were just coins you had to GET TO or win through combat, but apparently there are coins hidden behind secret walls, which pretty much guarantees you are going to miss a ton unless you are using a walkthrough. =\

Ah well. It's a wonderful game so far besides, but I don't know if I like this little bit.

Just finished the cave! FYI, there is no need to restart. All coins are obtainable at any time.
B/C there are so many different secrets, here are a few general tips to wrap up the cave:

- pay attention to the bugs flying around the bushes. When you fly through a bush, watch where they go. Frequently, they'll move into a secret room behind a wall

- use the weight "head" to smash the statues around it. Drop it from a few feet up.

Most difficulty area for me to find required me to play the game in an unusual way.

I followed this thread to find this out. I was freaking out when I missed stuff, I thought this game pulled an Ori on me. (At least that game got a version that allowed backtracking later though...) Good to know this isn't like that or I would've flipped so many tables.

I've been scouring this cave for about an hour now and I'm still stuck on 270 coins. I found two secret walls with the rings in them and that's about it. Is there anything I missed? I really can't find the rest.

Can you though? I mean at least in the cave, since there is a huge area of it that is closed of after you finished it, the part where you are alone without your sidekick.
