All coins in Tropos/Strato?

I've nearly 100%ed Owlboy. I have beaten the final boss; I have perfected the Boguin Cannon, I have visited Sanctuary and spoken to every elder (yes, including THAT elder), and I have gathered every coin in every area other than Tropos/Strato. There I am missing 87 of the 600.

I've searched it very thoroughly. I've killed every enemy I've found, I've pressed my face and/or Twig's targetting reticle against every wall at least once, I've found the crashed ship (although I don't recall finding any coins there), over and over again. Heck, I've even used bugs to get out of the playable area a couple times to search that way, nada. The only thing that's a mystery to me is the waterfall in Tropos, the first waterfall you're likely to find in-game. There are no secret areas connected to it, but there's an obvious ring for Twig at the far side, but it just deadends if you web your way there.

But anyway, does anyone recall particularly devilish hidden coin locations, or bizarre sets of enemies you have to kill to get chests?

EDIT: Nevermind, now I recall what that waterfall was for, it was the back entrance to the Mesos pirate base. But now I've got a new problem.

Did you go inside the ship? There is definitely a chest in there. But that won't solve all missing 87 coins…

Uh… When you are finding the location of the "second" Owl token -- it's past burnable branches on the left side of Strato, and upward. Did you explore downward instead, and get the chest that you can see from the main area of Strato?

I did not go inside the pirate ship! And it (and the hidden area after it) actually held over 100 coins, putting me to the "true" cap of 2830, upped to 2860 after visiting Buccanary to collect the Spectre Cloak. That's exactly what I needed, thank you!

Funny part was, in my out-of-bounds exploration, I'd actually seen that area and it's rings and chest. But it's right next to a cut-content level (looks like a pirate town), and I couldn't find a way to get to it, so eventually I assumed it was all cut, and those rings were part of the mythical 200 extra rings, of which nobody can seem to find more than 60.

Its on the way up towards the Floating Continent, there'll be a point where the path turns to the West but there are a few tiny holes in wall to the East -- secret area there. Pass through and keep going, it'll be really obvious when you get close.

So it's a while since the last post, but I felt I should say that the information about the crashed ship really helped me. I found all of the coins I was missing there, which pushed me all the way to 2878. So, thanks!
