My game won't launch

I bought this a month ago and played it just fine for a half hour, now trying to get back to it it just doesn't open. I've checked the forums for solutions and have done all the available ones already. Re-installed about 3 times, and am able to open other games, for some reason this won't open. when i launch it it says running then says syncing for a moment then just stops.

Same here. Someone else recommended installing Microsoft XNA but that didn't work for me.
Tried disabling Steam Overlay and verifying game cache as well.

I'm also in the same boat. Installing Microsoft XNA didn't solve the issue. Hoping we can find a resolution soon.

So far I've been playing by launching from straight from the file. Right Click, Properties, Local Files, Browse Local Files, and then launch from the .exe file. It seems to be recording my playtime and achievements, which is great! Just a bit out of the way to get things running.

Did that solution work for you, Zufos? If not, it could work to try an alternative version of Owlboy that uses different systems behind the hood, although we've had mixed reports when it comes to this bug.

To try the alternative version, right click Owlboy in Steam, and go to Properties -> Betas, and type "fnatestversion" (without quotation marks) into the text box. Then select "fnatest" from the drop-down menu and restart Steam to force Owlboy to update to the new version.

This is a beta version, but we haven't had any reports of problems with it so far.
