Please Help with Controls (2018) Xbox Controller

OK - I hope I'm doing something stupidly obvious because my blood is boiling right now. I hate this game so much. Why does RT make me spin?? X should and does make you spin. If you are carrying a shooter and need to shoot you press RT. I shoot and spin resulting in me dropping the shooter?!? Unable to remap controls in options so I don't see how I can play this game at the moment...

Recap in brief - X makes me spin and so does RT. I need to shoot when holding a shooter with RT. In other videos I see people just shooting without dropping/throwing the shooter. When I shoot I spin as well because RT is the same button for spinning/attacking and shooting...!!!

A kind soul please help me... :)

I have the same issue, Im going to try steam big picture mode later and see if that helps.

The xbox 1 controller is bugged with this game. Try and old wired xbox 360 controller if you have one.

Had this issue. Close game. Opened game. Fixed

I had the same issue, but finally got it fixed. Go into Big Picture Mode, select controller settings, select xbox controller support. Exit big picture and start the game (or just start the game if you use big picture mode). The problem got fixed for me. I hope it helps you too :)

I use keyboard and mouse. Helps with aiming. I haven’t used a controller with this game yet.

Hey! So playing the game in Steam's Big Picture will resolve the issue of the controller. I've been playing with a PS4 controller, and I had the same damned issue. I just closed and relaunched the game in Big Picture and it works as intended.

Same. RT does a bunch of other stuff as well. Alt-enters, options menu, shoots in one direction and spins on the other. BPM does nothing to resolve this.
