I regret buying this

At first glance this game is great, runs smooth, art is decent, music is pretty damn good. Heck, I even thought this might be a more modern yoshis island or something. Then you get into the game, and you find out just what a husk of a game it really is. The Puzzles are all so simple its laughable, the characters you get are boring, the boss fights are lame, most areas suck (looking at you jungle). The enemy design is very dull, and overall the game overstays its welcome before you have even gotten halfway.

Here is the games greatest flaw: it introduces something new, then you never see it again. Most games give you a easy puzzle, maybe a single trap and a button, then the next puzzle is three lasers and one button, and so on, usually each dungeon has a specific theme. But in this game, you are introduced to the button and laser, you press the button, then never see anything like it again. Its just a huge pile of SUPER simple puzzles.

Next biggest problem is quality of life stuff. Like if I get a new character that unlocks a path to the next area to explore, I shouldnt have to use the character to open the area the same way OVER AND OVER. Especially if you have collectibles in a game. Its very hard to tell where you have explored and where you havent, especially in the vine filled world hub area.

Finally, the story. WTF. Lamest crap ever, trying to make a kiddie version of a dark story is so lame, come on people, use your IMAGINATION.

Overall I give this a 3/10, the 3 is only because of the music. I dont know why people are crazy about the art stye, its pretty simple and basic, looks like any other generic pixel art game.

Also ♥♥♥♥ the mini game, dumbest, worst minigame ever created in a game. Its hard but not in a fun way.

Sounds like someone needs to do more research into a game rather than look at screenshots. There was a demo that could of saved you money here, friend.

I've never seen that as a flaw in any game, keeps it feeling fresh.

Didn't take long for a potential discussion to turn into a ♥♥♥♥ show though, thank god this isn't a multiplayer game because this community is rotten as hell.

Keeps it fresh? no, what it does is keep the puzzles super simple and boring, and takes away from the learning aspect of this game.

Then the issue appears to be that this quite simply isn't the style of game for you. You're looking for something like Portal that takes a concept and expands on it, where this is more of a "selection box" of smaller ideas that are changed out to vary the actions the player performs. Both can be decent in their own right of course, and I'm not saying these examples are "the best" out there.

But this isn't the review page. So unless you want to keep pandering to trolls or looking for support or whatever daft argument you have to keep this flame bait rolling, there really is nothing to "discuss" here.

Especially when all you're seemingly doing is looking for new ways to insult or trash someone's responce because "it's counter to your opinion".
