Eeew, fake 8 bit graphics...
And you've said that over and over and over and over and over. Good , you made it known. Move on.
Okay fine maybe I have the nostalgia goggles on because I loved Contra 3/HC, but damnit I had an absolute blast playing through; might not go ahead and try and unlock -all- the skins, but I don't mind forking over the launch-price if it means I get to support a good indie dev.
Well said. The game is great. Probably I won't play it for 100 hours like some other games, but I've already played it for more than 7 hours. I think I'll keep playing it until I unlock all the skins, or I get bored
What Contra game took 2 hours? Most of em are like 30-45 minutes. Run right, spread gun, game done. I don't remember a ton of Neo Contra, and maybe if you take every funny route that doesn't end the game but gives you all the levels you can push past an hour in Hard Corps. Most clones are around this, too... a good action game knows to stay short but maintain clever level design and solid enemy pace.
It's solid. I rated it pretty favorably, especially for the price. Metal Ranger (I think is the name) is a more direct Contra clone that's also pretty cheap.
This one has better graphics, waaaay better music, and I was actually surprised by a couple of the patterns, which doesn't happen often. Kinda gave me the same vibes as Dusk did for a Quakelike... feels familiar, but manages to pull something new out every so often.
Gameplay quality of all three is good. I would lean into this one, then Metal Ranger, then G Warrior, but the price on the other two is definitely more appealing.
I have enjoyed Iron Meat more than Galuga, honestly.
Also keep in mind that this "short" game let you to play it many times.
Ty hard mode.
Try it with your friends.
Try to enjoy it once again on same difficulty.
It is perfectly may fit when you want to take few beers with your fiends and enjoy the game.
