new features idea - tew 9 has renewed my belief in PWS :)
what can i say? tew ix is a total dumpsterfire - been playing those games since forever, but after seeing constant updates, I have to say PWS is definitely the way forward.

that being said, wanted to throw out a couple feature thoughts that I think will continue to push this over the edge.

honestly, people keep saying "tew is much deeper" but mostly it's superficial. ultimately, when we're discussing core game mechanics, gameplay loop, and replayability given its status as a sim- PWS is honestly very close. tew can keep adding background calculations combining various unthought of factors, but ultimately for me as a player, game-indicators are all i got - ratings, momentum, development of wrestlers/personalities/etc money, and of course popularity/overness.

i know people really appreciate the rehauling of contracts - and sure, I agree definitely increases and expands the game, but for me - alright, whatever - there are still better mechanical / functional things that need work methinks.

all that said here we go:

- momentum added is a big game changer - need more things like this - more things like this - things that have a direct cause/effect to the way im booking/managing that have direct effects into what's going on

in that regard - broadly implenting more/similar rating systems to various parts of the game. think this would (similar to momentum) add deeper layers to gameplay, but also create an interconnectedness to the whole game - ratings/slider-scales for:

Title Prestige
Events
Storylines
Gimmicks/Characters
Pairings? (Tag Teams, Stables, Managers)


i.e., booking a champ/feud/storyline well with a good payoff should result in numerous benefits - if it's mixed with a manager-turn or team-break up or something and it's done well or not well should impact all the things.

so booking a (say) Sasha vs. Charlotte feud "Well" that culminates at a SummerSlam title change should improve the ratings/prestige/slider-scales/whatever of Sasha, Charlotte, the Championship, SummerSlam, their storyline (and it's ending) - which should all have combined effects on all their Popularity/Overness/Cash-Made/Whatever.




I'm open to all thoughts, and apologies if this is poorly articulared.

Serious question - how far behind do we think PWS is still than TEW? Obviously UI/Graphics/Ease (all that) aside, talking pure gameplay and mechanics.

Are we basically there?

How we can help push it over the edge?

Goes without saying - I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this game am invested in it's continued development and success so cheers mate

Still got some ways to go but the thing with PWS, is its growing TEW IX won’t grow as dev won’t let it. So PWS & said from day 1, the potential for PWS is massive as a mod maker PWS is way more friendly, just got to be on your toes as anything can change in a moment notice. But its great buddy 😀
Helpful Scripts - auto-fill Aremas/Venues. Default gives each "subregion" one Venue of each type. Player can go delete the cruise ship in the middle of the desert at their own leisure.

TEW IX is more concerned about pushing pronouns than having good products and the dev has decided he knows better than the players what's fun, what's good, what the player needs/wants, Adam Ryland is basically Vince McMahon, pushing his thing.

I would've abandoned all hope in PWS if TEW9 allowed us to make custom products. That's all I want from there. TEWIX has bad products, no ability to create new products, every new product you want has to be approved by some guy who doesn't care about your fun anyway.

I stopped making my mod because I got bored from the tedium of filling out venues. I will not start again until I have an easy button for it. I made my own world: custom Areas, Regions, Subregions. Unfortunately, filling out the stuff for all the Venues/Locations is a total bore and I am here for fun.
I would love to see Alliances, and to work the way Adam Ryland won't let it work:
1. Alliances can hold their own "Super Show" booking some workers from each promotion. The Alliance itself holds priority for all bookings of talent. The AI should never hold its own Supershow - but the player should be able to set one.

2 . Alliance Companies and Talent Sharing companies allowed to book one another's titles to be used in Matches and Segments. Note, the original company should not allow their title to change hands on someone else's show "for free". They should want the new champ to have equal popularity in their own area/region, and might want some money for the trouble. Their booker and owner should also have like a "friendliness" score, 0-10.
