How to turn on Bees Oil lamp?

I feel like I'm losing my mind but with Index controllers, how do I get the lamp to actually turn on? Triggers do nothing, track pad nothing, AB buttons don't activate, grip does nothing. I have no doubt I'm doing something dumb here to not know this but I'd love to find out what exactly.


edit: i was going to replay ch 1 to remind myself how this worked, but I'm also seeing where I can't answer the radio either..? The voice says "Homicide pick up this is dispatch" over and over again but I can't activate the walkie talkie? I beat the chapter before so I'm honestly not sure what's going on here. What's the master 'activate item' button? \

We see that you figured this out. Yes, for actions such as the radio answer and the bee's oil burner, please click down on the Index thumbstick. Also, this applies to the Salt Spray.
