Can you choose what sex(male/female) the Roadwarden have?

I looked it up and found almost nothing and what little i found is mutually exclusive.
So im asking here. Is the Roadwarden male? Can you choose between male/female character? Or does the game just handles you as genderless (aka never calls you one or the other).

The last point can probably answered with no since i think in the quest to find a husband for the washwoman i think you are called as potential husmand material as a joke.

Any of you guys know the answer to this?

I can't recall any incidence where the game gives any indication of the Roadwarden's gender. I don't recall the reference you are talking about, but I know most of the suitors swing both ways so I don't think they use a gendered term, per se.

Hi! I'm translating the game into portuguese and I can confirm that the original text is written in a neutral way, avoiding the use of pronouns (both for you and your horse).

So you can give your character a female name if you like, and interpret it however you want.

Yeah, I don't think they ever define your Roadwarden's gender.

Your horse, I think, you can define yourself, in a side convo where someone asks if they're fit for breeding.
