Why Twitch Drops?

Game is on my wishlist and will get it eventually, looks very cool.

However, I find it strange the game has Twitch drops when no one who streams the game has drops enabled. Been checking occasionally since game was released and saw exactly one streamer ever and I only caught last 20 minutes of her stream, so still no drops.

Even Sean Letourneau's stream who you advertised on your twitter and did voice acting for the game didn't have drops enabled. Someone else chatted in his stream the same thing, that he'd been checking for 3 days and had seen no one. Kinda bizarre.

Guess those are going to be some very rare skins. I'd suggest adding in another way for us to unlock them.

So I managed to watch enough of that one streamer (yes, I only saw one streaming it, no others) to "unlock" all 5 skins.

I watched long enough for the first 2 in one session, then the other 3 in a second, longer session.

I got the codes for the first 2 drops soon after watching, within 24 hours.

3 days after getting the other 3 drops unlocked on Twitch, I got email codes for 16 of the 3rd drop, 8 of the 4th drop, and still waiting for a code for the 5th drop.

Go go automated code delivery!

I guess another suggestion would be if they'd post a schedule of when drop enabled Twitch streamers are going to broadcast. Trying to randomly catch them when there are obviously so few is an issue. Looks like the drops program runs through May 15th.

yeah it's silly when each drop is an hour of view time. i got first three and halfway through 4th. but no one streaming has drops enabled. seems an afterthought at best.

It can be a bit tough to unlock all drops, since barely anyone is streaming the game, and of those who do, I only found one that had drops (and it wasn't any of the "main" ones listed for this particular campaign; those haven't streamed the game at all since launch, and some haven't streamed anything in weeks).

The one streamer I found that streamed the game daily, and granted drops, was, I believe:

She was always streaming the game mid-afternoon, European time.

I can't say I'm a fan of watching other people play games, so I just left the stream in the background while at work, and I unlocked all drops.

Ditto. Twitch made changes to how they determine if you get credit for drops. If you have a browser open with the stream in question, it has to be the "main" tab that is focused on. You can't just put the stream on and then open a tab to go surfing any more. Sometimes, you can have the stream going on a browser and alt-tab into a game and then have it count. But it's not consistent, sooooooo...

I either have the streams running on a secondary computer, or on main computer when I go to sleep and turn off the monitor for the evening. I also set a timer for 60 minutes (or however long the drop in question is) to go back and click claim to get the next one going.

No extra pay, just playing the game for free, isn't enough of a reason to spend time streaming it.

I have streamed the game the last few days for a few hours straight 4 hours + each session sadly I got the game on GOG which means you can't get drops. It has to be the Steam version. Not going to rebuy the game just so drops can be enabled. Sad miss there.

Sadly I was 5 hours + into the game when I figured it out so I cant refund on gog and get it on steam.
