so the problem is on your side, sure its from a legit source?
if so, either redownload, or make an integrity check via steam or gog galaxy.
with source i meant the game itself :) . sometimes ppl use pirated versions, that sometimes carry unwanted stuff and then blame the game for it.
avast should be in the virustotal mix too, agreed, false positives are a thing but never seen anyone complaining about when it comes to 9thd. if you have the latest virus definitions and your copy is legit, id do an integrity check as mentioned above, steam and gog galaxy both offer that option.
Avast auto-updates, and I am playing with a legit copy (It's in my library).
This is the alert I get.[i.imgur.com]
I tried removing the exception I placed and verifying, but Steam gets stuck in the updating process while trying to download the file, because Avast won't let it through.
Why avast flags it- no clue.
