Crash on Matrix/Slitherine Launcher

This companies ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher (warhammer 40k Gladius same issue) has caused me issues for months. Finally managed to fix it by findthing the Matrix "Launcher" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Shadow Empire and making it run as admin when steam launches it and fixed my issues. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hassle to play a basic game.

It might be due to 'Controlled Folder Access' that blocked games' access on your My Documents folder. If this was the cause, type and run 'Allowed Apps' from the Start menu to allow Launcher.exe and ShadowEmpire.exe by click '+ Add an allowed app'. Similarly for other games' launcher and main .exe. No need for 'Run as Admin' which is too privilege to be safe. Hopefully this may help.
