What are the odds that out of the 5 zeitgeists I started my game with, 3 were Crisis of Egoism? Are there actually that few zeitgeist possibilities that is isn't unlikely?

I think there are 12 zeitgeists currently in the game which I think there are 6 good 6 bad, and they alternate between good/bad each time. So you got kinda unlucky but not outside the realms of possibility.

I dont play with them on. I wouldnt mind so much if there were real ways you could play around the bad stuff. Having them off does make the game a little easier imo, leader management is easier.

Could you check what is the level of egoism of your leaders? I wonder if it could impact the chances to get egoism based event.
In my case I had it once or twice and also corruption, and as Slippy mentioned mixed with positive ones like age of industry, beaurocracy. I wonder what are the others.

I play with it on. The negative ones spice things up a bit without being too disruptive.
