is fauna randomly generated? And what types of intelligent alien regimes can be discovered? so far I've come across arachnids...

Arachnids are the only intelligent aliens in this setting (if they're even aliens, as opposed to some forgotten human bio-experiment that got out of hand). All other regimes are either human or some offshoot/creation of them (mutants, rogue AI, etc).

Other fauna are randomly generated. They can be anything from near-harmless to kaiju-like alien dinosaurs that will require heavy firepower to defeat.

You forgot about the sapient alien factions that can also spawn? Alien primitives can spawn on worlds with sufficiently advanced lifeforms but are still minor factions, they can be dangerous though as they will have similar stats to their non-sapient brethren and also have to possibility to wield guns.

Ah, right, there are natives, too. I've never actually gotten them to spawn, cause I usually play barren worlds.

There is many random animals probably, but they are exist only on planets with atmosphere for them. Flora on worlds is probably needed for any fauna. Here is two egzamples wild animals:

Nawzajem. Przydałoby się mieć jakiś polski discord gdzie łatwiej byłoby zrozumieć tłumaczenia mechaniki gry.
