Better trade and geopolitics
Game do a very good job on economy, industrial and warfare, but right now trade and geopolitics could improve by a lot.

First of all, trade is usually so tiny that is not relevant. Food and money are global and there is no difference between regions. We need luxury resources to make regions valuable and estimulate trade.

Also regarding trade, ports should be more relevant to trade, owning a port for a big nation is a big deal, but right now ports does not reflect that. Maybe MTH owned by countries would be much better (Or real ocean stuff even better)

Regarding geopolitics, while minor are nice, they either die or are integrated too fast. I think having only majors would be better. In the end some majors become too weak too fast anyway.

One thing i really miss is proxy wars where two sides on a smaller regime are being helped by a bigger regime. Also integrating different cultures should be harder.

Lastly some partisans would be great to make conquest harder

I believe Vic has spoken about this and is on the long term plan.

Luxury resources were definitely mentioned by Vic on a recent podcast. However in game trade IS important its just buried behind reports if you want to see the actual impact. I would suggest reading the section in the manual regarding trading houses.

An MTH zone would be interesting for sure. I guess we need to see what the game looks like after a rework on navies.

Hard disagree, minors are great and should always be in the game. Integration actually boosts majors quite a bit (they seem to be able to do it a lot faster than players) as it gives them new zones without the need to conquest. There are also so many great minor variants in the game right now. Without minors boarders would never need to be protected as majors cannot violate other majors boarders without a war. And without minors who would occupy the vast wastes?

Agreed on cultures, would like to see a rework there. It seems a bit weird that a blood thirsty set of raiders will become good honest working citizens within a year.

i do read trade report, My empire have more than 500 thousand souls and most i seen in terms of trade was buying 1k food and selling 10 oil and stuff like that.

Never managed to make 1k in sales tax or tariffs. Meanwhile i can make tons of money with income tax.

In that case it's your choice. Any kind of tax empers trade. It's possible to run a tax free economy that relies entirely on trade to balance the budget.
