Change zone name

Hi folks,
How's everyone.
just got the game and i'm quite loving it (even if i'm not very good at it ^^) but i'm having trouble with something.
I want to change the name of my zones (like "A1-something" so i can find them faster in lists) but when i call my governors and type the new name and confirm, the changes aren't taken in account.

Am i missing something? 'cause i tried names with only alphabetical caracters, with and without capital letters. Could it be because my governors are not very fond of me (currently 50, 34 and 14 relation)?

Is it a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Edit: where can i see the current version i'm using?

Call gov, zone orders, click the Change Zone Name button, type, click OK not cancel. It should apply even before you click the Confirm Orders button to leave the zone orders dialog. (Mine is without Oceania.)

If that's not working it sounds like you have a bug.

I had that happen too once. I believe there are some restrictions regarding the letters and symbols you're allowed to use for the zone name. I don't remember if it was an empty space or a German umlaut or both that triggered the bug for me. In any case, if the system encounters an illegal symbol, it seems to simply ignore the entire entry on "confirm". Without any error message. Some fine polishing by the developer might be in order here.

Try a single word zone name made of only the basic 36 alphanumeric symbols. I think that should work.

Tried everything, limiting myself to the basic symbols, no spaces or special characters, on different cities. Changes aren't applied. I do get a sort of "freeze" (morel like a hiccup), like the game if processing something but the name remains.

I think i encountered a bug then, but i'll try a few thing (like a new game and to verify/reinstall the game) then i'll see how to submit a report ^^
Thanks for confirming i'm doing the right thing, this game is quite complex and i'm often realizing i'm doing thing completely wrong ^^
