The MTH system in this game is idiotic

I just had an AI empire make a 900 credit transport deal with an MTH that I own 100% and then they proceeded to move an entire light infantry corps to my island with that transport deal. I pay 2500 minimum for enough logistics to bring in troops that fast over the seas and I have to have a port that can deal with that amount of logistics points, but the AI can essentially just conjure transport deals for absolutely garbage prices and ♥♥♥♥ infantry through them. Also, when I deal with one invasion and take over the port they are pouring in from they just conjure up ANOTHER DEAL somewhere else. So basically the AI can just ♥♥♥♥ invasions out of ass for no penalty and I can't do anything about that despite the fact that I literally own the boats that bring them to me.

What is even the point of investing ridiculous amounts (I've invested probably over 100k credits) to MTH if they just ♥♥♥♥ you over like this and there's nothing you can do?

There are many explanations possible. Price is mostly influenced by available shipping (maybe your contract was made when less shipping was available?) and the relation between MTH and Major. If you are the sole shareholder you should have plenty of Influence Points you can use to bring down the relation between said MTH and said AI Major.

Just to have a good picture of your issue, what actually was the relation point?

Also keep in mind that higher difficulty levels the AI "negotiates prices" much better.

I have no idea how to influence relations between a major and MTH. I can't find any stratagems for that and I can't find an option for it in the policy meeting with MTH either. That would make the whole thing make more sense if that's possible.

You have to call a Policy Meeting (stratagem) and then spend your influence points on "Beware of Major Regime (X)" ... if minors left you can also encourage piracy against a specific major

I haven't seen such an option. I only saw options to beware other MTHs. Does it require an alliance with the MTH?
