Support Faction Stratagem - any use?
Hello,

What is the point of using this stratagem? It increases support for one of the factions in opponent's regime, but why would I need it?

The one use I see is promoting the Realpolitikers so you can make a victory pact with them.

Read what factions do in manual - some will always fights (theologist->fanatics / militarist->expansionists) - with others you can establish trade relation. If you dont have plan to conquer them ASAP then you want more peacefull option on your border.

I used them dozens of times in my game on 4 major regimes. It did not result in anything despite factions I was trying to promote having >1000% of support, it did not bring them to power.

I think there are diminishing returns on the amount of support that actually represents. It won't be a guarantee of bringing them to power. Just imagine it as a sort of coup that never gets off the ground, or something. I've seen faction support cause a rise in that faction's standing far more often than not. On militarist regimes it probably has much less impact.
