Why is the font so tiny? I cannot read most of the text and I can't change the Resolution.
Not only that, there's no menu button to end the game from within the game.

Someone creates a complicated game like this, that requires TEXT and they make that TEXT as tiny as it can be.

I have a 27 inch monitor, it's huge, but I still can't even see the text it's so damn tiny. I mean wtf?

I've got a 15" laptop at 4K. If there is no scaling this may have to be refunded.

Dude, I had no choice. That's what I did. I've actually been looking forward to this game since I saw it 2 months ago in PC Gamer magazine. But it's unplayable.

Set the resolution to 1920x1080. I am on a 27 1440 display, and I find this res works best and it looks like it was designed for this res. I like big text too, and this works mostly.

There is scaling, but you are better off setting a lower resolution, you gain nothing really with how the scaling works over lower res, and scaling slows the map update a lot.

Developers, I know your read this, please make fonts larger, or adjustable, people should not ruin their eyes playing this
Even with lowered resolution most of the stuff is unreadable, and I a person with good vision
This is wrong.

I refunded it already.

If you go to the resolution screen once you are in the game, you can change the Display size or you can change the resolution.

I have a 4k monitor and was able unable to change to any other resolution. However, next to the resolution setting, you can change the display size. There are several settings available.

Try this for a possible solution.

Just tried it, helps a little bit, thanks!

Also if you put together the above, plus this:

And lowered res (1600*900) the game is actually playable. Praise the modders.

I bought this game pre-Steam (no refunds) based on the glowing early reviews and I can't play it.

My native res is 1440p. Scaling the UI makes it look blurry and cripples the game's performance. Lowering my monitor's resolution isn't an option because I multitask with two monitors.

Unless the dev eventually implements a more professional UI scaling solution, my money was wasted. I'm glad people with old monitors are happy with the game, though.

Keep in mind that if you have a 4K monitor the 200% DPI scaling without changing resolution works perfectly with no blurring or performance issues.

Not the best solution, but one can always try 'Magnifier' as the game is turn-based.
Using the 'lens' feature may prove to be better than 'full screen'.

I have two monitors, main is 1440p, and I play the game with the res at 1920x1080, and its fine. I don't understand exactly why you can't lower the resolution. Can you explain please?

Even without my glasses on.. I can read everything in the game just fine.
Just change the resolution. 4k on a small computer screen is practically wasted anyway. At least when you're playing a game that's not about graphics.

However.. I do believe more settings is always a good thing. I just want to point out that the game is perfectly playable as it is :P
Actionjackson Dec 4, 2020 @ 10:21am
Set it to 1080p and you are fine.

You close the game from the left most tab on the top right corner, where you have the other options.
You can close the game from inside the game, of course.
