Runs really bad on my pc!

Well here's the deal, i've purchased PT2 here on steam on the Activision sale out. And i've played this game once at one of my friends computer and it worked like a charm. But now when i purchased it, it lags like hell! Just after maybe 10-20 min of gameplay the lag starts.
So i've tried to reinstall the game, tried to run it as admin, tried to add input "resolution=1920x1080@60" parameter in launch option (caused the game to crash everytime i tried to start it) and vene deliting the profile.bin in activision map, still the same problem, even on the absolute lowest setting.

And there's also a black border on 1920x1080 and it looks like this in option 1920x1080*

Well can't blame that my pc is bad.

16 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866 MHZ
8 core AMD 3,51 GHZ Black Edition FX
HIS Radeon 6770 1 GB (latest driver)
Windows 8 Pro x64

Some people says this game suffers from memory leak so it might be what i have so any kind of other solution to even play this game would be great!

This game a bad port. I can run Metro Last Light on high no problem, byt this i get lag all over if I try that.

So strange that i could run this game without any lag on my friends pc, and that one is an old rig, but no kind of lag, stuttering or fps drops like i have. So i guess it was a bad port then, may not even be playable at all since there is no more support for this game. Every other game I play i can run between high and ultra so i regret that I even purchased this game now, even if i really want to play this

Well i started again, the game had no lag. I think I have (like many other) the memory leak problem (every 5-10 min the game gets slow) at first I didn't saw the slowing down because I was watching intro movies and only did tutorial lab. In the city I got hit with lag and thouht that its optimalization problem in the city. But no, its memory leak. When I restarter the game from a check point and (still got all on settings high) there was no lag that could only mean one thing, "Memoty leak problem".
Will try to get a work around or a fix for this.

Same happens to me, just managed to get through the intro, and 5-10 min later it start to lag, but restarting the game does not solve the problem, so i will leave this game for now. Tried all of the fixes i've read about on different forums, but no luck to make Prototype 2 run any smooth or even to enjoy playing it. To bad, it's a fun game, even purchased the Radnet pack aswell

K i got a fix for AMD cards

if you have a radeon :
- deactivate AA in game
- install software "radeon pro preview 1.1.1.0" :
* make profile for protoype2.exe
* in "tweak" :
vsync control : always ON (double vsync)
dynamic framerate control : 30 fps max
* in "advanced" :
flip queue size = 1
- right button on profile's name and "apply now"
- play game normaly

i have constant 30fps with i5 2500 + radeon 7950 1920x1080
before this : must do alt+tab all 5/10min because become too slow

I was testing it now for like 15min, no slow downs as of now.
You should test it out to.

I simply ran it without Anti-Aliasing and never experienced the memory leak bug (Win 7 64bit, Nvidia GTX 480).

I tried the AMD fix (my card is the same) and the frame rate is still crawling at 10 fps. is there anything else worth trying or is this whole bad port issue just mean I just wasted money?
