Hello my name is jack and I have been trying(with no success) to play prototype 2 a game I just bought. I don't wish my money to go down the drain so if you could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

You probably have a static initializer that is crashing.
The most common cause is forgetting
core::NameStringAllocationStatic in a static core::Name:
static const engine::Name Foo( "Bar",
core::NameStringAllocationStatic );

Or verify that DLL exists. You can debug this issue by running
'main' project file with the command line: >><<
