Help me fix the game please

I tried everything and my problem is unique when the game launches the game cursor shows and when i love the mouse it prints a lot of cursors in the place its in
i tried:
set affinity
played around a lot in compatibility settings
downloaded the fix files on Nexus mods page
delete and reinstall
tried virtual box win 10 (that didn't go well)
disabled human thing from device manager all of them
formatted my pc (yep i love the game that much to try that)
and yet nothing works
RTX 4080 , 64 ram, I713k, win11

Yes, please take into consideration what we wrote. No matter what I do, I am facing the same problem.

If the game launches properly, and isn't crashing i'd suggest disabling the mouse all together and using a PC controller, you can buy them pretty cheap on amazon. Start the game and then unplug the mouse/keyboard from your computer(I have a USB hub with buttons to do that). Its the simplest solution apart from the other i'll post below.

Your problem is a little confusing with how you worded it. Though if I read it correctly it might be an issue with the refresh rate of your monitor and the frames you get in game. Prototype 2 is supposed to run at 60fps with the fix on Nexus letting it go up, I run 144fps/hz with v-sync with little issue. If you have something insane like 240hz it might be causing that mouse duplication. Try lowering it to 144hz and turning v-sync on. Heck you might just need v-sync.

All I had to do to get the game to work on PC was download the mod off nexus and manually set the frames to 60fps using NVIDIA control panel to avoid any mission glitches. sorry if this don't help.

the only glitched mission for me was the one that gives you the claws, when the game asks you to do the jump with the claws but in the end the obj would never complete, I used only one core of my CPU just to pass that checkpoint, the fps were 23 xd. This was the only thing.

It's an absolute crime that this game is still being sold on steam. I bought it years ago and was never able to get it working
