Alex Mercer is dead from the first Game.

As we all saw at the final of the first Prototype, Alex died and somehow he appeared again, and we thought he survived. Well no, that isn't Alex at all, that is the Blacklight virus which took Alex's body and he controls all the mind.

So don't hate so much on Heller, because the Alex from this sequel isn't that Alex we all love..

Actually the real Alex Mercer was dead from the beginning of the game. He was shot and killed by Blackwatch in Penn Station just after releasing the virus, which then infected and reconstructed his body.

Nvm did more research, Mercer from 2nd game is the real one, he traveled all over the world and he realized that the humanity isn't worth saving.
