Extract all the contents of the ZIP into the Prototype 2 install folder, next to Prototype2.exe file.

so find your steam folder and goto steamapps --> common --> prototype 2 . copy it to that file.. worked for me.

This fix helped me to actually start the game without crash, but after the intro the loading for the first mission is endless, any fix for that?

For Operation Flytrap, you will still have to set the affinity for the prototype2exe to one core and lock the fps to 30 to complete the mission even with this mod. After it's complete, you can change everything back.

Yes, I was having the loop as well, it drove me nuts! But I did the following and it fixed it:

Go into your Prototype2 system folder where the "prototype2.exe" is located, right-click on it - go to the 'Compatiblity' tab and change the following 3 areas to be Checked ON;

1) Run this program in compatibility for
"Windows 7"

2) Disable fullscreen optimizations

3) Run this program as an administrator

OS: Win 10 home edition, 64 bit
CPU: Ryzen 5, 3600.
RAM: 16 Gb
GPU: GTX 1070

You should definitely report the mod on nexusmods, wouldn't want a mod with 27k+ download with virus on there now would we.
