Will beating New Game Plus unlock the "Master Prototype" achievement?

Before I waste a bunch of time playing through New Game Plus, does anyone know if doing so unlocks the "Master Prototype" achievement (it's the achievement for beating the game on Hard)? Or do I have to start a new save file on Hard?

That doesn't answer my question. Obviously it will unlock if I play through the game on Hard, I'm wondering if I can also get it by playing through New Game Plus.

Xbxox achievement says that YES. You can do that in 2 playthroughs, with the second one being in new game +, hard mode.
