They recently moved into a new studio and are preparing a "new" game this Fall (unfortunately one that is likely just their previously-cancelled game Child of Cooper, based on SteamDB and Youtube) so it's possible they'll try to trickle-support BoT over the years as they did to Meadow.

This is exactly what I was afraid of.
I had this game in my wishlist for a while and just came back to check on it because of the sale.
This is exactly why I don't buy early access. Super disappointed.
Thanks!
Super disappointing, I can't think of much else like it.
If they do make it so that you aren't online with others anymore I hope they change how the puzzles suggesting more players pitch in work. Hosting private games with friends to explore and roleplay in wouldn't be so bad, but still isn't at all matching the scope of the game intended so shouldn't be such a discouraging price.
