No Resolutions to change video

The game started normally, and i noticed that it was low res, so i went to options> video and changed it to 1920x1080. started a map, game was still low res, so i restarted game. when i try to launch it i received an error; "Loading error: Dilplay mode 1024x768x8 not found. Cossacks should not run." with two options retry and cancel. retry launches the game but there is absolutely nothing in video options and it is low res, and cancel simply cancels the action and game does not run. what to do now? how can i change resolution?

I had this too, fixed it by setting the compatibility to Windows XP SP2.

How did you do that?

Right click on dmcr.exe in game folder -> compatybility-> run in compatibility mode for xp sp2
