Does this game work in Windows 10 OS?

I played this game several years ago and I realized is available here in Steam now. However, I am worried about possible compatibilities issues with Windows 10. What is your experience? Can you play this game well? Thank you in advance.

I have Windows 7 and it doesn't work properly for me, but I've heard that they fixed compatibility issues with Win 10. Just beware, because you might end up having to fix some problems by yourself.

I'm on W10 and it works fine.

I had issues to play because it randomly breaks an kicks u to the desktop(win10). But I deleted the video files and now it works for me

only problem that i have is that is resetting my profiles into nothing, i found some optional solution of turning all files from Read Only in the steam folder for the cossack but it just doesnt works for me as it instantly restores them back to Read Only

Working in Windows 10:
1. Copy "Cossacks II Battle for Europe" all files and paste them into the "Cossacks II Napoleonic Wars" folder, overwrite all of them.
2. You need the c2_patch v1.2.exe
3. Download Universal Extractor 1.6
4. Use Universal Extractor to extract the c2_patch v1.2.exe patch into any file you want on your desktop
5. Copy all files from "Data" and paste extracted patch into the root folder for Cossacks II Napoleonic Wars
6. Copy f c d.dat and paste into the root folder for Cossacks II Napoleonic Wars
(c:/programfiles(x86)/Steam-steamapps/common/Cossacks II Napoleonic Wars)
7 Download the c2-hoae-3d-patch.zip and copy and paste its contents into the same root folder the first patch went in and run the game using the startengine.exe button
8. Copy X3D8.DLL and place in \Cossacks II Napoleonic Wars.
9. Enjoy!

Install the game yesterday from steam and all work fine on Windows10 !
Best strategy game ever
I had to set some file in "read" and "write" mode to have my profile and saved game working, but now all is OK :)
Previously I tried to re install from my old CD ROM, but it wont work in spite of all patch and other trick founded on forum. Prefer re buy the game for 5€ without any regret
