Steam Deck controls don't work at all

Anybody else on Steam Deck having this issue? Because it feels like I'm the only one. Basically, the game doesn't recognize the controls at all and has keyboard glyphs on the main menu. I can't even get into the settings or anything like that, all I can do is load into the main menu and force quit. None of the buttons, triggers, or trackpads do anything.

I've tried forcing Proton 7 and Proton Experimental in compatibility, different control configs (official and a bunch of community ones), reinstalling, running in desktop mode, and forcing the game into borderless windowed and windowed mode. None of the above changed anything.

EDIT: I opted into the SteamOS Beta channel and didn't change anything else, and now it's fine. Some other games still have a similar issue but opting into the SteamOS Beta reduced the number of games with this problem by about half.

having a similar issue where game is just losing the right control stick, had simple fix setting the right touch pad to mouse, but then there an update and its stopped working, now the game just refuses to register the right stick

I have the same issue on Deck, but I use a public setup which is the most popular deck config and it is work with it. It is not bugless because sometime it just don't work but a game restart can help then.

With my Deck I have the problem that the right stick won't work after a certain time. Mostly after I had the deck on standby. Every button and the left stick works fine but the right one won't. When I load the last save everything work's fine again but it comes back again and again.
