Will I lose this version if I buy remaster upgrade?
Does the remaster upgrade get added as a dlc to this game or a standalone game in the library?

If you get the "Remastered" upgrade you'll retain the original Horizon Zero Dawn (HZD and also get that newer version upon your PC, although the later requires you to have PS Network account, which imho it wasn't anywhere near necessary and it's simply Sony's way just trying to artificially boost their PS console numbers by also using the PC's ports ones.
Ergo, I'm voting with my wallet and obviously won't fall for soemthing that wants me to play a Single Player game now tied to a form of DRM that it initially didn't came with. :steamsalty: Thus, it's not really a "Remastered" but rather an added onto b**l$**t scheme from Sony since the PC port is only from 2020. :baa:

Although for the next time, I also suggest you to head into the HZD: Remastered forums section to see that somewhat old News for yourself. :winter2019happybulb:

What the hell is there to remaster. This game was a good port. No bugs and it worked well(after a while). It is an obnoxious cash grab.

if you don't want it, don't buy it, but ~10h of side quests and updated graphics and updated audio engine and render technologies, it's not fair to call it a cash grab when they actually did re-render the textures not just upscale existing textures, re-process motion capture with higher-vertex meshes, add more missions, etc. A cash grab is when 2K/Bioware/Ubisoft/etc changes the game to have a launcher frontend that phones home, to now have resolutions over 1920x1080, that were supported anyway but now you don't have to edit a config file, a 15+ year old game "remastered" that is still 32-bit, the engine untouched, the graphics untouched, etc. Many companies are guilty of those shady "remasters" - this one seems to deliver.

great game. i own the steam version and will definitely omit any "remaster" that requires a psn account.

Same. That's just a shame they're going to make you have an account to play the remaster. Oh, well.

yeah its a dlc upgrade, not a full game.

If it's a surprise, how do you know it is unwanted?

Anothe user whom prefers to be the "Beholder of the Universal Truth" before even checking what was posted before upon the very same thread, etc. etc. :winter2019tiredbulb:

Now if you simply head onto the last paragraph of my previous post here, all will be crystal clear and we wouldn't have to undergo such an experience, right? :baa:
