Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

Future PC ports from Sony (With some pics as subjective evidence.)
I will be linking the IMGUR gallery at the end of this

So, There was something I noticed in the PSN store page. It's something that Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding and (interestingly enough) God of War have in common. It's the lack of 3 simple words. "Only on Playstation." Now, why is this important? Well, For those that want to look at their PSN pages (when you google search the bad boys) of games that are (at least now) PS4 exclusives like Spiderman[IMAGE 1 IN THE GALLERY], if you see that some game pages have PS4 Pro Enhanced on there, but it also has the message right above it stating "Only on Playstation."

Whereas God of War, Death Stranding, Uncharted Legacy Collection, and Detroit Become Human are missing that. HZD's complete edition page was a bit harder to find, but considering out of the list that I provided earlier, that only 2 of those games are not announced to be PC ports, it hints that Sony might be prepping to port those as well. I wanted to check TLOU2 since they were looking for people to work with them on the project who were familiar with PC architecture might also hint at a possible PC port, though there is no PSN page, it just links to a separate webpage for the game. Though TLOU Remastered still only shows "Only on Playstation"

Another thing to note is Days Gone (Which was teased in the fake leak a few days back) has the Only on Playstation note, but funnily enough that NONE of the Persona games on the PS4 have that message. P5 shows that it's on PS3 and PS4, PDC shows it's available on PSVR, PS4, and Vita, and P5R just shows the PS4 symbol but not the "Only on Playstation" symbol. Though this could simply only apply to first-party devs since Rainbow Moon and Rainbow Skies don't have it, but are only on Playstation to my knowledge.

SO, TL;DR Due to a lack of wording in the store page, it could hint at possible PC ports for God of War and Uncharted The Legacy Collection. They could just be mistakes due to them (AFAIK) being the only First-Party Sony games that lack it (that are also not announced for PC) but I choose to believe that Sony is probably looking to port both of these after HZD if it does well enough.

Imgur Gallery can be found here. https://imgur.com/gallery/tFUV0fM

Also, if you find any other first-party Sony games that aren't on here, please feel free to add them.

EDIT: So, it turns out recently, there has been word from Eric Lempel (Senior VP and Head of Global Marketing for SIE) that more than likely we are going to see more games coming from Playstation.
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2020-05-12-sony-unveils-playstation-studios-brand-to-launch-alongside-ps5
In that article itself there is a section that reads

"The PlayStation Studios branding won't be ready in time for the launch of The Last of Us: Part II or Ghosts of Tsushima, which are both due to arrive this summer. It will also miss the launch of Horizon: Zero Dawn on PC, although Lempel says that any future games it releases on other platforms will also carry the branding."

That last part is what I want to focus on. He says any FUTURE games it releases on OTHER platforms will carry that new logo branding. Does this mean that only new games will come to PC/XB/Switch? Well, maybe not Xbox since Sony and Microsoft still compete with one another.
Could games ported to PC be counted as technically future games since they will be ported over to PC. I mean if they wanted HZD on PC to have this symbol it could mean that other PC ports could indeed have this new logo to dedicate that it's a Sony developed product. Either way, this has made me more hopeful for games that didn't fall under this category like Bloodborne, Days Gone, Spiderman, and The Last of Us Remastered.

I have some bad news (IMGUR link) https://i. imgur.com/SAamUNt.png (remove the space in case Valve blocks the link) or if you want to see it yourself.

https://www playstation com/en-us/games/bloodborne-ps4/ Here is the site where you can see it. I'm fairly certain that Bloodborne is coming to PC, but it doesn't seem to fall under this current theory.

Thanks for showing me yeah like the rumors that are going around i dont trust being 100% confirmation at all but it seems very possible that bloodborne could see a pc port sometime in the near future if sony starts to go full force into the pc platform like xbox I would imagine it kinda depends on the sales of HZD and other past PS exclusives. Its wishful thinking but it just seems much more likely nowadays.

I'm fairly certain that Bloodborne is coming to PC, Eric Lempel stated that they are going to be putting on the new logo on any Playstation Studio game even if they were on other platforms, so I'm fairly certain that since BB is a huge hit, it's going to release on PC, it's just a matter of waiting for the official confirmation rather than just ResetEra rumors.

Sounds like complete wishful thinking to me. There is absolutely no basis for Bloodborne coming to PC.
It being a "hit" does not make it likely to come over here.

I'm not optimistic at all that more Sony AAA games are coming to PC, come to think of it.

In reference to the infamous quote about "other platforms", MLB is coming to multiple platforms so that could be that.

Don't get your hopes up for Bloodborne, God of War or Spiderman on PC (natively) anything soon if ever.

MLB isn't what I would call a Sony Developed game, when I think of Sony developed game, I think of things like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian. Games of those nature. I'm willing to bet the IP holder for MLB wanted more people to buy the game and if it follows the nature of other sports games, the lootboxes/micropayments

While yes we have no basis for BB coming to PC, the same could've been said about HZD, Death Stranding, Detroit Become Human, Heavy Rain, and some other console exclusives that made the jump to PC this past year. I'm fairly certain that once they see the sales HZD achieves on PC, they will be more than willing to port more games over to PC. Even if it's older games like Bloodborne, and others, it will still be a great opportunity for games that did amazing on 1 platform, to get even more sales on a non-competing platform.

EDIT: That being said, time will tell and money will talk a lot louder and more effectively to executives than you and me ever could/will.

Exactly! Money can talk loud! 🤑 And selling to PC give them free money! They don't need to sell more Consoles to which they add 100$ to each as they are sell 100$ below production cost...
GOW and uncharted, yeah those two masterpiece and iconic franchise ( I would called it the heart and soul of sony playstation, same as gran turismo ) definitely will give huge impact.

I think you will be very disappointed if you expect more AAA games from Sony on PC...

Sony did not publish Detroit nor Death Stranding. Those PC releases are not Sony related in any way. They did not push for them to be on PC, at all. Quantic Dream asked permission and Kojima negociated a PC release.

It seems to be that you are delusional. Enjoy waiting I suppose.

I will, I know that you are also looking forward to other PS4 games coming to PC because I did see your name in another thread in hoping for more PS4 games to come to PC. So, I'm not sure why you are in this thread trying to be negative but hey, you do you. I'm going to enjoy seeing more port announcements.
I would love for more to come but I can't believe it.

I don't see the incentive for Sony to do this. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to believe this at present, laughable rumors aside Sony have clearly said HZD is just a game that made sense to be on PC at this time.

Well, as I stated earlier, I'm sure that if HZD does well enough on PC, they'll feel the same about other games of theirs coming to PC since again money speaks louder than either of us can to executives. I'm sure they would be willing to deal with a small subset of people who would be upset to see more Sony games coming to PC if it meant they are making a ton of money off PC ports. Time will tell, and hey, I will be hopeful for more releases and if they happen I'll be elated especially if they port over some of their older gems.

I don't see HZD being a big success on Steam. It's too old.
Maybe 300K in one month.

That won't make Sony consider more ports.

.... :steamfacepalm:

I am sure that when they finally make Preorder possible, it will become in top 5 or even top 3 most Preordered games on Steam!!! Remember my words.

People like me who doesn't have Consoles will buy it and many who has also! To play 60 fps...

300K in 1 month for an old game is a pretty big achievement. Catherine Classic did 100K in its first few months and that was impressive considering it's an old niche game and with the newer version releasing soon. Even with it all stacked against it. They got about 1M USD (and that's after the valve tax) added to their accounts. Considering HZD isn't that niche and did great on ps4 I'm sure it will repeat that success again on PC. Hell even if they sell 300K units and even if they spend 500k to port it over to PC (average is about 100k usd based on certain studio estimates) that will still be 2.5 million for an "old" game and that's assuming they only sell it for 20 bucks if they sell it for 40 that's going to be about 5 million dollars. Either way that isn't chump change to even a studio like Sony. But hey time will tell. This will be my last response to you in regards to this. You've already voiced your displeasure. I've voiced my confidence. Time will tell which one is right and if I'm wrong so be it. I hope if you're wrong you can join in on the celebration.
