Need a Sawtooth heart but can't find a Sawtooth.

I'm looking at my map and have crawled all over it looking for a Sawtooth icon to visit. I see some that look very much like the Sawtooth in the notebook but when I hover the curser over them I get a different ID. Specifically the Thunderjaw name appears. I do think these creatures the Sawtooth and Thunderjaw look somewhat alike but one if much bigger than the other. Anyway, anyone know where I can find sawtooths?

There's usually one just north west of Mother's Crown I think.

Right outside the gates of the Nora starting area is one. I think there's also a couple in the mountain range separating the Nora lands from the Carja lands.

4 Sawtooths roam the river L at the far east near the cultists.

I remember killing two in the old city near Devils Thirst, located just west of the walkers circle. So I went back and found one. I killed it and got a heart. So far so good. But now I need yet another and when I returned again to Devils Thirst, there was no Sawtooth. Anyone know, do they respawn and if so do you know how long that takes? a few days, hours, longer? I will try to find the other areas mentioned above and thanks for that.

They respawn if you travel somewhere far enough away. I find a second machine site and travel between campfires to farm. If you travel and the machine didn't respawn either find one further or restart your game. One time I had a Thunderbird glitch under the map when I downed it, preventing the spawns, which the restart fixed.

Aside from what others have said, you can also create jobs for the item you want. These jobs will help you locate the parts you need.
