You can create a new "NG+ Loadout" when you go into the pause menu while continue playing after finishing the main quest.
There should be an option to create a new "NG+ Loadout", which replaces the old loadout with all your current progress.
It was so obvious I didn't even see it, could I get the new gears in the dlc anyway, or should I go back on my first campaign to create a NG+ loadout to obtain these new armor and weapons with 4 slots ?
You will get any new gear in the NG+ mode, so no worries.
Going back to get the DLC gear would just give you the lower versions you get in the regular game.
You need to get them again in the better version, when you play NG+.
Not sure which difficulty you play on, but ultrahard on NG+ will give you some serious grind until you can get all the necessary shards and additional collectable items which you need to get the respective gear.
Only "free" thing is the lodge gear, when you complete all hunting trials on gold.
But that's a pretty awful task especially on ultrahard. oO
Thanx again :)
