My Horizon Zero Dawn Benchmarks RYZEN 5 2600 (Fixed)
UPDATE:
Its been awhile since I've updated this thread, but here I am and this is now my results on the same System Specs (asside from using the 2009 21H1 Windows 10 and updated GPU Drivers).

Stutters are gone completely and its smooth as butter.

How was it fixed? Simple, I transferred HZD from my HDD to my SSD. That was it.

//////////////////////////////////////

First of, thank you Guerrilla Games for your continuous updates on HZD - dedication is wonderful.

Also I would just like to share my benchmarks here so I hope this helps in some regards to the developers.

System Specs:
AMD RYZEN 5 2600 (OC'd to 3.95GHz)
16GB DDR4 3200MHz
ZOTAC GTX 1660 Ti AMP Edition
Windows 10 64-bit Build 2004
GameReady 456.55 WHQL

//////////////////////////////////////

Re-run of benchmarks (RYZEN 5 2600 at 3.95GHz + GTX 1660 Ti).

//////////////////////////////////////

(v1.06) I also noticed a weird issue of the game's benchmark anything above Original Preset will have world objects loading too slow that some areas. I'll try to recreate the issue right now and record it so I can show it to the developers. This wasn't happening on earlier versions as far as I know.

EDIT: Here is the video showing the weird bug only happening on High to Ultra Preset.

Best if you also have benchmark results from previous versions for comparison.

Is there even a way to revert back to older versions of the game? Also I kind of don't want to just to wait for the Shader Compilation everytime I will need to switch back & forth is already a hassle.

just replace the exe with whatever version

NOTE: you will be able to run the benchmark with any of the versions but they won't be compatible with some of your saves

"Also I kind of don't want to just to wait for the Shader Compilation everytime"

not necessary when replacing exe's

Okay so I benchmarked from v1.0 up to v1.06 with a consistent in-game settings.
macatak Oct 14, 2020 @ 11:59pm
the only performance improvement that i got was going from v1.02 to v1.03
I have a 2060 s, r5 3600 and 2x8 gb of tridentz ram clocked at 3200mhz, game sure has perfomance problems ,average fps at ultra is around 80
Evergaol Bird Oct 15, 2020 @ 12:50am
I'm generally okay with that kind of FPS, I just want those stutters and dips gone for good then I'll enjoy the game right back at the start if I have to cause right now I stopped playing it cause its really bad on those sudden single digit frame drops.

this is my result on the same settings as yours....pc specs in profile

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2258126795

when you have graphical errors the 1st thing you should try is forcing the game to do the optimization process again

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Horizon Zero Dawn\LocalCacheDX12 and delete PSOCache.bin

during this process refrain from doing other things on your pc until it has finished

put it in fullscreen, going to be more smooth, I got a gsync monitor and the difference between borderless and fullscreen is huge

Going to try that and do a v1.06 Benchmark afterwards and see if it will make any differences..

Its the exact reverse for me - If I go Fullscreen - it can even drop up to 1 FPS at dips, Borderless on the other hand is different a bit more smoother.

Well I let the game regenerate the PSOCache.bin while I took a short nap and the results are even worse.

1. I tested Ultra Settings again and the glitches on world object pop-outs are more slower that I was able to take a screenshot of it cause it was taking its time.

2. I tested Borderless Ultra and Fullscreen Ultra - didn't make any huge difference, even both made the glitch too.

3. Just like macatak said - I deleted the PSOCache.bin, let the game regenerate it without any interference from me (I took a nap), after its done I did these benchmarks...

I scored far more less than the re-test I did alongside v1.0 up to v1.06 posted above.

EDIT: At first I thought this might be my system, so I also did some benchmarks on other games I own. So I also tested SOTTR, CryEngine's Neon Noir Ray Tracing Benchmark, and Doom 2016 just to assure that my PC isn't the issue.

download GPU-Z and check that the GPU Bus Interface is the same as in the screenshot below

https://tpucdn.com/gpuz/screen1-v1599482918430.gif

also test your pc with userbenchmark
