I Really Don't Like Alloy

I play it because it's a fun game, but Alloy is such a jerk. She's egotistical, always talking down to people in her sarcastic and condescending way. She's narcissistic, dismissive of anything anyone ever says. I really do not like having to play as her.

Nah we just know why people say stuff like this - these complaints tend to be dog whistles more often than genuine "this character is rude" complaints - there's this weird expectation people have whether they realize it or not of main characters being more cooperative and soft when they're women

here's something alot of you aint going to like OP has his right to have his own opinion ,i don't agree with it . I hate the heavy handed woke agenda myself ,however i do not see this game as woke at all aloy is not a mary sue who is the bestest eva with no work or effort you clearly see how she has to struggle with being shuned from a small child ,and had to work her ass off in order to become accepted . in the begining she has every right to be rude specialy as most of the warriors are rude as F to her . The writing of this story is amazing it made me care about her and what happened so much so i have bought this game on the ps4 ,ps5 and pc ,and ive bought dark horizen on ps4 and ps5 ,i will end up with it on pc as well just gonna wait a bit for it for optimization passes

edit if the writers ever see this you guys did a awesome job on the story one of my all time favorites

idk man, i was kinda skeptical at first because it seemed like there was some woke feminist bs going on, but honestly, most of the time shes fairly empathetic and is a typical "good guy" hero type whos traveling around helping everybody.
You've only played an hour or 2 and probably havent left the Nora lands yet. Theres another 30-40 hours of story telling, side quests and errands that helps with the character development

Where did you get the impression I've only played t for a couple hours? I've completed the entire game twice already. It's been a couple years, so I wanted to play it again. But often I'm put off by Eloy's smug dismissive, and condescending attitude towards people. She has her moments where she is compassionate, but too many times she treats people like a jerk.

Is that why I'm getting so much flak, because people infer that I am claiming the game is woke? How is this game woke? The only reason Aloy is so damn good at what she does, is because we the players are so damn good at playing her. :) So I find it odd that anyone would blame Aloy.

Isn't that what all of these games do? We start out barely knowing how to play the game, then we master it and are kicking so much ass we need to crank up the difficulty setting.

Some actual proofs from in-game dialogs (with in-game images, for ex.) would actually serve you a lot better than those rather bland, insipid overall false generalizations (fallacy)[en.wikipedia.org], though.

Aloy is literally bullied and belittled by almost anyone she encounters. she was shunned her whole life, born into being an outcast, people treat her like sh1t even after her proving. She does response in a sarcastic way to belittle other but please listen to the things they say because all she does is react. Actions have consequenses. If you're an a hole, you're gonna be treated like one.

I guess you played a different game since in my playthrough, she indeed is a jerk to people treating her like a peace of garbage; she usually trys to help out people in need and explains her intentions very clear which by far is not bad behaviour
