Graphics not loading
The first opening cinematic with the baby was loaded fine. After clicking "new game" to start a character the cinematic didn't load all the graphics. It looked really bad, people with no faces and such. Then when I got to play in the cave, nothing in the cave was loaded so I couldn't actually escape the cave. Not sure why this is happening. I find it ironic that it is named "complete" edition and all the graphics are incomplete.

And... you going to provide system specs?

You mean my hardware? I have a fairly up to date laptop. 3050 Ti, i9, etc. All my other games work, even at ultra.

4gb cards shouldn't be trying to run this at ultra.

Turn stuff down.

That would be due to the 4GB of Vram on a 3050. Have to lower settings I'm afraid. A desktop 3050 is worse performing than a plain Desktop 2060 with 6GB of vram, and it can't handle ultra in HZD.

I have 16gb ram, and I never even tried to run the game on ultra. I said I can run other games on ultra with no issue. I was attempting to run this game on normal settings, and I attempted at low as well when I was trying to first fix the problem. Changing the graphics settings doesn't change the issue. It's literally not even loading people's heads or walls or things that would be loaded even at the lowest of settings. I verified the integrity of the files and it also didn't fix anything. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall?

The game, even under lowest settings, struggles on 4GB of Vram. Not sure what it is, but people posted tons about this on launch. All you can do is try and wait for shader cache to finish some before playing, to see if that fixes your issue.

A lot of AMD RX 580 4GB had this issue as well, and the 1060 3GB. Missing textures and models galore.

16gb of system ram has nothing to do with it.

This is entirely on your vram.

VRAM is not RAM. The game isn't loading stuff in because you have too little VRAM. VRAM is the RAM specific to your graphics card where models and textures (among other things) are stored to quickly be accessed by the GPU. It's many times faster than system RAM, and not having enough of it will make stuff exactly like you're describing here happen.
Technically the game should still work, because the GPU listed in the system requirements is a GTX 780, which has 3GB of VRAM and is slightly slower than your 3050 Ti but you're just gonna have to turn down settings and maybe even the resolution (since the minimum system requirements might be for 720p) until it does.

The minimum requirements aren't particularly accurate.

They say a 4gb amd card is fine. It's not. This exact same problem happens on 4gb amd cards. Even later ones like the 4gb 580.

Side effect of the original porting job being incredibly bad.

I refunded the game. I didn't realize that my laptop apparently sucks and can't handle a game, despite being a gaming laptop that came out after this game came out. I'll have to look into VRAM as a spec next time I purchase a computer. My xbox series X has 16 gb VRAM, but sadly this game is a playstation game so I can't play it.

I was having similar issues with Ratchet and Clank and am bummed I don't get to play that game either since it's also a playstation game.

Technically your xbox has a really weird combined pool of 10gb of 320bit ram and 6gb of 192bit ram that are split between system tasks and graphics tasks based on need. Most of what's done is via the 10gb of 320 bit due to speed.

It's more complex than just "16gb of vram".
