Crashes on startup. Verified files. No mods.

Tried to play tonight. When game started to play, got an error message that game crashed. I rebooted PC, launched Steam, verified files. Getting same message. Uninstalled game, did a fresh install, same thing. I don't have any mods installed.

Anyone got any ideas? All other games are working fine.

Having the exact same issue. Game falls apart at Sony Pictures presents. PC is more than powerful enough for it (4090)

Found the fix that worked for me and it's an old school one. For some reason it didn't create a desktop shortcut so, R.click on it in your list, go to browse. R.click on the exe file (Should look like the game if you don't know) go to properties and disable full screen optimisation. Should work. It'll look ropey but once you're out of the intro cinematic and in the main menu you'll be okay.

Something similar happens to me, after playing for a while or immediately the game crashes and says that a serious error occurred, is there a solution?

A while ago, same for me. This is how I solved it.

I deleted the save folder and stopped the sync with steam. At least, the game launched. Then, it said that the save files were corrupted from the cloud or something. So I'll start from stratch, but at least I can play.

My game just crashed again right at the start (last time I played was tuesday). Solution: delete the profile folder in Saved Game. Don't sync with steam. Game launches, then readjust the settings.
For me, it's weird, but it crashes when I set a limit at 40 fps. At 50 fps, no problem. No clue. It's beyond my comprehension, but the game works.

Run the game and get it to crash, then Open event viewer, click WIndows Logs folder, then click Application, find where it says "Error <DATE&TIME> Application error 1000 Application Crashing Events" at the same data and time that the game just crashed, then, check the general info at the bottom to see why it crashed to give you a better idea what to look for, In my cause, the game was crashing when I tried to start/load NewGame+ due to an issue with USER32.dll

You can try to run Command Prompt as an admin and use "sfc /scannow" as well as the DISM commands:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth <- This one can appear to get stuck at 62.3% but thats normal and can take it a minute to get past that point

I Fix my crashes in change my Power Options in Window 10. Chose: Power saver.

i cant start the game it crash if i start it i did reinstall it and was try so much i dont know the problem this game is the only one who have this problem and there is no fix in internet

Last week I got a whole new system. AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D 8 core 4.20 Ghz CPU
64 GB DDR 5 ram
Nvidia 4080 super gigabyte windforce 16 GB video card.

Did a fresh install today, crashed again when I tried to play the first time. Its not me or my system. Sony needs to fix their game.
