I personaly never used the mighty or the culling. Not even sure if my version of the game even has it.
The combination of warbow with high freeze and a sharpshoot bow with good damage and handling works well against many machines in late game but isn't a one size fits all sollution.
Bows work well for a sniping/ambushing playstile.
If you prefer a more "run and gun" playstile you might instead go for slings and a rattler.
In vanilla, I prefer the shadow carja hunter bow with mods balanced for damage, fire and handling as a fall-back weapon. I'm in two minds about the banuk version.
For longer range I use a Shadow carja sharpshoot bow moded for damage and handling.
Invanilla I find it's bether than the banuk power shot bow.
The later comes into its own in new game+ with the adept version. The 4th mod slot lets you stack a lot of handling to overcome the very long draw time without having the scrifice much damage.
Drawtime is important. So always stack some handling.
Other than that, ask yourself what you want to do. That will often tell you what weapon and mods to use.
You WILL need to use the others here and there for stuff, as diff machines have diff weak spots that take diff damage types to 'hit'
also there are Trails where you have to hit them in these spots or Tear/Blast semi weak spots off.
You only have two mod mounts, so until you have the bows from the DLC you will be better off by focusing each bow on their strength. Sharpshooter with a sniper arrow, an armor breaker and two mods to enhance anti-armor. If you look into their special features, essentially you'll end up with four bows. With two you'll use often, and two are specials that would be sorely missed if you sold them.
My go to bow has 3 mod mounts, with 3 fire enhancing mods. Nearly everything burns, and for those that don't much of what they are transporting or wearing or using is subject to damage by fire.
So, all I'm saying is don't go dumping bows until you've used them, modded, in battle.
Amazing how many machines react strongly to fire. The first nasty ones you get trained on, trip caster electric traps, fire arrows. I was confused intially because of how they panic and start jumping around. Figured it out quickly enough when I grabbed the wrong bow/arrow/mod combo.
Good Luck
Sharpshot bow is good for stealth and ripping off machine parts.
War bow is good for elemental effects.
Hunter bow is, I believe, good for fire and direct damage.
Shadow is the best version of the bows before DLC, I think. Haven't played in a while.
Carja Hunter Bow, short to medium range (damage medium)
Sharpshot Bow, long range (high damage)
Carja Mighty Bow, short to medium range (damage medium)
Banuk Culling Bow, short to medium range (damage medium)
Quick reload and shoot fast is depending on "handling". How higher the number how faster you can reload and shoot with 1, 2 or 3 arrows at the same time.
