Level At Which Best Mods Start?

I am about level 40 and so far all the purple mods I have been getting have been "underwhelming". I know there are mods that have higher stats and triple stats. Most of mine just have a single stat.

Is there a level (or NG+) that you must be before the chance for a "top" stat mod appears? Or can you get a top stat mod regardless of where in the game you are, and it is just RNG?

Any incite will be appreciated.

I am at overlevel 34 right now (you continue leveling after level 60, but you don't receive any health upgrade anymore), but I still get bad purple mods.
It's a matter of luck I guess.

Purple mod with more than 1 stat is very rare, your best luck is going to frozen wild as it has fixed spot for purple mods with more than 3 stats, like 40% fire 35% shock and 30% corruption damage etc. im on lv 59 and only found 1 purple mods with 2 stats.

Once you hit lvl 13 you can start Frozen Wild and farm purples

there is an area of scrappers far left of mothers watch where you can farm for purples , they come up on a regular basis a run only takes a few mins to do

also northern area(junkyard), northwest of Free Heap, around 3-5 scrappers/ravagers that majority of them dropped purple mod

The most unique mods might be spear damage +30%.
In all my time on PS4 I only found 2 of them, which are sitting on my spear right now.

I have been getting purples. I like killing Rockbreakers. I just cannot get a "better" one for my life. They usually just have one stat and that is it.

I found a few of purple mods with 3 stats, but they are pretty rare.
Really think this depends on just on luck and RNG.

When ypu finish the game on Ultra hard. U can unlock extra modifications slots for your weapons. Well they cost a fortune in this level. At lvl 40 u can get all this stuffs. Focus on weapons from the lodge quest.

weapons Im using:

Shadow Tripcaster: with modifications for damage .. se some traps before the kill

Banik Adept Powershot (bluegleam ):
Full damage modifications with tear and handling

Banuk Adept striker bow: modifications full damage tear and fire... using this for bandits weak machines and sometimes when u need mobility instead of power heheheh.

Weapons from the Lodge.
Adpet Lodge Blast sling
Fuuuuuull damage ... this beauty is the beast.


Adept Lodge ropecaster
Full handling and tear
Tie down the machines and blast it.
Blast sling is life. U can kill almost anything with it like butter. My best weapon... some machines have resistance to certain elements. So check always. But I noticed that at the end all machines are Damage weak on the body so powershot triple arrows smash them down...

U can play all game with
Nora Protection HEAVY
Mods on full melee Resistente
Nora Silent hunter Master (BANUK master)
Full stealth.
I swap during fight.... depending on the situation.

adept is NG+ weapons correct ?

you can get them on any difficulty in NG+ right ?

you dont have to beat the game in UH to unlock adept weapons right ?

Mod system is. Lame. I get that the more rare the mod the better the specs, which is great and keeps me going. But I've like 100 mods in my inventory. I shouldn't.

Maybe I should be able to combine different mods to make the mod I want, maybe spending scrap or something else to do so. Maybe that's not the best idea. I'm sure there's a better solution than a bag full of random mods.

I genuinely believed that you need to play ultra hard to get Adept weapons.
But that was now a while ago when I played through it and I googled about...

You just need ultra hard NG+ for unlocking all face paint and focus colors.

i farmed the thunderjaw near meridian 35+ times and i only got 1 mod with 3 stats

Yes but these only appear once each playthrough.
I have a bunch of them as I played through 3 times on my current PS4 save, but purple mods that drop by RNG are surely very rare, but can happen multiple times a playthrough.
If RNGesus is with you, of course.
