Ultra Difficulty (Issues)
I've enjoyed playing on ultra for most of the game so far. But now nearing its end, it's clear that you need tons of resources/ammo to bring down bosses. So whatever shards I make, I don't really get a chance to buy new weapons, outfits, but instead - it always just goes to resources (blaze especially) and travel packs (ridiculous price).

I only just read that that on Ultimate, items are much more expensive (3 times more costly). So if you want to save your shards, the only other choice is to repeatedly kill enemies and basically grind for hours - just so you get the resources. How is that supposed to be more difficult exactly? It just takes hours of my time, nothing else.

I appreciate that the enemies are MUCH more aggressive and tricky on Ultra - but this whole resources thing is a mess. It's too late for me now since I've completed 85% of the game, but I just change the difficulty to normal when I shop for resources.

I also hate the fact you can't see an enemy's health bar on Ultra - I dunno how close or far I am to victory - and again, it's just annoying and doesn't add to the difficulty.

Gotta say a lot of the fun/challenging aspects of the game have been gimped by repeatedly having to buy the same resources, hunting puny animals for meat so I can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fast travel, etc etc. Wish I realised sooner that I can change the difficulty and avoid this nonsense.

Why you dont buy the infinite use fast travel? it cost nearly nothing and have no limit use.

Id like ultra hard mode, but make itens much more expensive, is non sense.

For fast travelling why don't you buy the Golden Fast Travel, that allows the player to fast travel to any discovered campfire in the game infinite times.

not use how effecient it is to farm on ultra hard but you can farm in hte nora hunting grounds the big grazer herd.. you can use the traps in the area to take them down.. and than you go for the balze with scrapper arrows and sell it

plus you can force a quick respawn by taking a trial

Personally i think UH makes more sense for NG+ when you already have an entire play-through worth of shards and items. You'll still need to make more to buy the Adept items, but i never found myself having trouble with anything except those damn animal skins..

Are you actually buying crafting resources like blaze, chillwater, etc? you shouldn't be doing that. Way to expensive even on other difficulties. Harvest them from enemies you can easily (cheaply) beat.

I've been on ultra hard since the start and have never had to buy resources from anywhere or grind for hours at all.

Go for the shadow hunter bow and just use the hard point arrows. They are cheap to make and if you have good mods on your bow they will do max damage like mine ( combine that with being able to fire 3 arrows at once and you kill ♥♥♥♥ fast).

As for travel like others have stated before, get the infinite use travel pack in meridian.

Note sometimes you can get around having to "farm and grind" by not fast-walking but instead walking over terrain as normal. Ergo instead of grinding you're simply travelling through the hostile land and getting into fights now and then. I find that it takes the edge off having to "go out and grind" somewhat.

Its in your 2nd skill tree. You have a skill to let you fire 2 arrows(double shot) at once then another that lets you fire 3 (triple shot) at once.

I have all skills, but it seems to just shoot 1 arrow......

When you are holding your bow with right click held down hit R .. it will load a 2nd arrow onto your bow ... hit R again and it will load a 3rd.

it will show you how many arrows are loaded in the bottom right corner

it will hold all arrows loaded until you fired your bow

And even if you swap weapons and then come back to the bow its still got 3 arrows equipped; which is darn neat for preparing for a fight.

How far are you into the game? I also had no problems for about 50% of the game, maybe 60% - but then you need to stock up literally for every quest cos enemies are much harder to take down.

People are saying I should buy the golden travel pack thingy - it costs 2000 shards and you need like 50 or something "fat meat" - it just meant lots of grinding/time wasting. Same with the resources, I wanted to avoid grinding so I bought resources.

People are missing the point - I know about farming, respawning enemies and repeatedly getting resources. I'm just saying it's a waste of time and doesn't add to the difficulty.
