After patch 1.01 update game does not launch now

So I recently did the update and now the game gives me an error saying (unfortunately the game has crashed do you want to help us fix the issue by sending the crash report) after I hit yes the game still does not launch I did uninstall the game and reinstall the game and I'm still having this problem before the update I did not have this problem at all can somebody help

That's a good thing as geforce experience "optimization" tends to break the config file and crash the game.

double check your drivers and try the above steps anyway, couldnt hurt.

I uninstalled my graphic drivers using ddu and then I reinstall the drivers just to see if that might work but it doesn't

I do agree that Geforce will prob screw the game for you,so I would't bother

I even tried disabling my SLI and taking out my second graphic card to see if that works but it doesn't I guess I'm just going to have to wait until they do another update hopefully it gets fixed I guess since I'm extremely bored I'll probably play a game that I should have played a long time ago I feel embarrassed to say it but God of War on PlayStation or The Last of Us 2 LOL

I feel like all these ports are messing up on PC but not on console because they cater more to console

Someone explained it better than me,but I guess it has something to do with the way the Cpu on ps4 is different than our desktop cpu in how it works. I honestly don't know some on here know a lot more about this than me. But yeah it obviously was optimized to run on the Ps4

The CPU on the PS4 is an ancient piece of crap ..... Most smart phones have more CPU power than a PS4 (or Xbox One)

Hopefully with the next gen essentially running a weaker/slower version of the R7 3700 these issues will be a thing of the past ..... That's why I've been griping for over 3 year that Sony and Microsoft need to get their butts into the 21st Century and ditch this ridiculous 20th Century 7 year long Development Cycle in a world where all other tech sectors are on a 1-2 year development cycle .... How many generations of iPhones, Galaxy S, Intel CPUs, Nvidia Graphics etc. have we had since the PS4 came out for cripes sakes ......

Under your steam UI you will see something that says download click into it if you don't see Horizon zero Dawn in your queue then you have it install it update automatically when you load into steam

I'm very excited for the PlayStation 5 but not the Xbox it doesn't make sense to have an Xbox if you have a very good PC not even a very good PC because all the games in Game Pass are going to be PC no exclusive to Xbox for the PS5 I'm only buying exclusives

Like Red Dead Redemption I'm having problems to keep crashing when I change Graphics settings

If youre using nvidia (GTX or RTX) geforce optimization crashes the game. Do this...
1. Disable cloud saves via steam
2. find profile.dat in 'documents/horizon zero dawn/saved game/profile'
3. Delete profile.dat (you savegame will be fine)
4. start game and let it detect your hardware
5. problem should be fixed, re-enable cloud saves at your covenience

i did this and it worked,after 2days of being annoyed and trying other things,thank you
