I lost my saves after update...
Anyone else lost their save files ?? the horizon folder in my documents is empty -_-

I never installed OneDrive in the first place.
It comes automatically with Windows, but I always uninstall it and deactivate any persisting sync settings in the Group Policy Editor.

So I never encountered this issues as my savegames are here:

C:\Users\Just Chill\Documents\Horizon Zero Dawn\Saved Game

You on the other side need to move your saves to this place:

C:\ Users\ <your user name> \ OneDrive \ Documents \ Horizon Zero Dawn \ Saved Game

as I heard something to do with onedrive moving it for unknown reason. Your file are there.

Someone else had this same issue. They should be in your Onedrive folder. Just go to your File Explorer, over on the right side you should see "Onedrive Personal" or something like that and your Horizon Zero Dawn folder should be somewhere in there inside your "Documents" folder

Rip then xD i didnt use the onedrive.. lvl 48 gg, does anyone have save at 50-70 % ? :P

It doesn't matter. If you haven't properly uninstalled OneDrive, it seems it somewhat still get used by your system.

Thanks, actually found my saves ;d there was another username folder which was only one letter different in name. "Ł" has turned into some strange symbol xd

good old micr$oft once again taking liberties with your personal system since even though you built it and paid for it, they still know what's best for you. the future's so bright, I gotta wear shades. and a mask indoors or apparently I can go to jail now. a big ♥♥♥♥ you on that one, already not doing that. that's what 2A is for.

You don't have to uninstall onedrive just go to options and stop it syncing with your docs and desktop.

Might be overkill, but as of having W10 Pro, I rather use the GP Editor to make really sure things go the way I want 'em. :)

Of course they know what best for us. Why else would they force..I mean kindly ask if they can keep track of all your personal data.

You guys got any idea how I can get the saves back, when the save folder in both Steam and One Drive are empty too for some reason? I was playing the game just fine yesterday evening. I uninstalled One Drive 3 months ago.

OMG I managed to get my saves back <3... Yeah the bs program One Drive was to blame, which I uninstalled 3 months ago, somehow it still moved the files to it's own folder. Well that folder was EMPTY too of saves so I was like wtf. Only when I tried deleting that One Drive folder was the saves restored to the HZD folder... I'm so happy, 37 hours saved :steamhappy:!

I had pretty much given up hope lol and was looking for other save games to use from online. Still, not a good update and I'm not sure why the hell One Drive still move my files when I uninstalled it lol.
If you have the same problem as me try it. Just remove the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing and maybe the saves return for you also to the HZD/Steam folder.
