Steam FPS counter doesn't go over 60fps no matter what
I have a 144Hz monitor and I know the game isn't frame capped but the steam overlay FPS counter always show a constant 60 frames no matter what settings I have, be it the minimum or all maxed. When I run the benchmark, I get an avg. 115-120 FPS with all maxed according to the benchmark results, but it doesn't seem that way nor is it shown that way either in the FPS counter, don't know what's going on. I ran Fraps for a second to check it's FPS counter and it also said 60, so I don't understand what's the problem.
I'll leave my specs in case it's something hardware related? but I honestly doubt it:

GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-7700K

MEMORY: 16GB (2x8GB) 3200 Mhz Corsair Vengance LPX DDR4

MONITOR: Acer LED KG241 144Hz

The game is bad at running at borderless when it tells you its in fullscreen. You usuallly have to alt+enter x 2 to get it to actually run in fullscreen on every launch.

Double check that your desktop hz aren't set to 60, because that will lock any game to 60 if it's in borderless fullscreen.

If it's not that, turn off the ingame vsync and set the limiter to unlimited. Let NVCP settings handle your sync settings in case the game is forcing a 60 cap with it's vsync.

So I can only get 60+ FPS only with fullscreen? Will try it.

Desktop refresh rate is at 119Hz atm, so that's not it.

VSync is the first thing I disable in every game, and FPS limiter only goes up to 120, should still be more than 60 FPS in-game.

Thanks for the info!

I highly doubt you are getting 115-120 fps with this game. Maybe on the main menu.

FWIW I get a consistent 100+ fps @ 1080p : I9900KS + 2080TI - no complaints from me.

Don't know what to tell you, that's what the results tell me, and now that I put the game in fullscreen rather than borderless like the other dude told me, I'm having consistent 112 FPS.
