bellowback hearts

Killed six bellowbacks in a row at a site to get a heart for outfit crafting and no drops. is this really rare like one in 60 or something or did i just have bad luck?

The drop rates for stuff like this are kinda random, imo. Even with points dumped in the tree, I don't get drops very often unless it's lens or mods

Not sure the drop rate, but it must drop at some point.

There's a vendor in Meridian that sells all the hearts.

Theres also a skill for increasing the chance of rare parts. Dont know how far you are into the game.

thanks everyone. i googled it and someone said if you shoot only the components on the
back and not the bottom front (that's where the heart is supposedly) you will get a heart more easily. tried three more that way and a heart dropped on the third one. GL!

It makes sense. The more intact the corpse, the more parts.

I just want to confirm for anyone that may be wondering, if you can AVOID blowing up the front blaze sack on its jaw, the heart WILL drop or at least has a much higher change to drop.
