Modifications
I'm just starting to learn about the inventory and see my modifications are full.

I've got three 'Damage Coil' modifications... 5%, 9% and 14%.

Does this mean I've got 28% or just 14%? If 14%, I guess it'll be OK to drop the other two?

You can put multiple mods into one item - provided it has more than one slot.
Then the bonuses add up.

If you are short on space. First try to expand your inventory space for mods - go to the "crafting" tab of your in-game menue and there to the carrying capacity sub-tab.

If that fails, before droping mods see if you can't put them in a weapon you own. they will do more good there than on the ground. Or sell them to a merchant.
Later, you will be able to unlock a skill that lets you deconstruct them into shards.
if you DO have to get rid of one, you obviously drop the one with the lowest number.

Thank you. It's taken me a long time to work out how to add modifications to weapons etc. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the good ones! I put the 14% damage mod on, then the 5% and now my bow has 5% increased damage and the 14% modification has vanished from my inventory.

Thanks for pointing out the way of increasing capacity of inventory too. I hadn't noticed that either!

Unless you have the "Tinkerer" skill unlocked, replacing a mod with a new one destroys the old mod.
You should have gotten a warning when you were doing that.
