I don't know if this might be at fault, but such clock speed changes are likely correlated with changes in power draw, and we already know there can be sharp transient spikes in power consumption which might trigger instability as the PSU tries to compensate.

One solution might be to fix the maximum GPU clock speed at the rated speed quoted in GPU-Z, which you can access via performance tuning:
https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/software-performance
Midway down the page you'll see an image of the advanced performance tuning functions: you can set the "max speed" to the nominal rated value quoted for your GPU. That said it's a little more complicated now because the core and shader clocks have been decoupled.
I played it to after the attack on the contest and after that, it started to crash. Rock solid earlier. 6900XT here.
Started to really enjoy playing it... That's a da** shame...

(EDIT: Ninjaed :P I'll edit with the JayzTwoCents nickel tour version)
My thermals are great, my RAM and VRAM aren't getting close to maxed out, and performance is extremely good (>165 FPS all max settings) besides the crashes. I have verified that my motherboard BIOS is up to date, the GPU vBIOS is up to date, the drivers are up to date, Windows is up to date, have tried rolling back drivers, have tried restoring all undervolts/overclock to stock, have tried disabling MPO, etc etc.
Disappointing to be having issues with top of the line hardware, but I guess that's what I get for early adopting both AM5 and 7000 series RIP
