Mount controls are awful
Is it just me or does riding a mount absolutely suck? I have a hard time controlling the mount direction and the mounts always seem to slow down at random.

Is there a bug or problem or does the game have terrible mount movement?

The mount coasts to a stop if you don't keep pressing the button to make it go forward and then you press the other buttons to steer. They are independent from forward motion.

Live horses sometimes do the same thing. You have to nudge them along from time to time or they just stop. That includes giving them clues as to where to go. The mounts seems to work the same way.

Most games have terrible mount controls. This imo is one of the better ones. Almost all RPG games, have terrible mount controls kek.

It's not great on kb+m in some cases. I think the mount controls were adapted rather poorly from a PS4 controller where you get a lot more fine control over the direction of your mount.

Controller only makes things control better when its in cases of small movements, its one of the few times a controller is much better than a keyboard. But either way I dont think the controls are terrible. but ive palyed a lot of games, I have nearly 500 on steam and played a lot more back in the day on ps4 and xbox 360. This is one of the better controls of a horse. The only things better are games like mount and blade. Most rpg games have worse controls which is sad.
But it feels the same on ps4... You just have more precise movements which in a game like this, it really doesnt matter much. After all youre in a huge fairly open area. it feels exactly the same to me, from waht I played of this game on ps4, as it does on pc. Nothing is any more odd feeling than it already was. But I also wasnt running on cliff sides with sharp turns or something like that, I was always in an open area

This reminds me that I didn't use a mount for more than 5 minutes of my 40+ hour playthrough.

Mounts are fairly faster than dodge rolling but ye unless you have that one perk its annoying to go hijack one. I see people saying "dodge rolling is as fast or just about as fast" But you can move 20 meters like half a second faster on a mount. Which adds up a lot when traveling. And not to mention you dont have to spam dodge. They should have made her just run faster if theyre going to leave in the fact you can dodge roll much faster. Its just annoying, luckily I have a mouse button to tie dodge too so my finger doesnt ever get tired. But I feel bad for those who wanna go faster but can spam their pinky that often. I hope this is fixed in their newest game lol.
